Liquid chalk with resin adds an element to the basic formula: resin, which further increases friction on the skin. The result is a more aggressive and long-lasting grip, particularly useful on slick holds, on dynamic movements where the hand needs to bite into the hold, or in disciplines like pole dance where the surface is steel. Climbers on polished limestone crags usually appreciate it.
